That the Bible, composed of both the Old Covenant and the New Covenant is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. (I Timothy 3:16) God said He has magnified His Word above His Name. I believe God's Word is to be obeyed and respected above anything man says should it be contrary to the will of God. I believe it is the revelation of God's will for mankind.
I believe He created ALL things. I believe that there are many gods, but there is only one true God. God exists as three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 48:16-17). God has many names (Father, Elohim, Jehovah, Yahweh, Redeemer, Lord...). God dwells in a place called heaven, yet dwells in our hearts. God sent His Son to die for us so that we might be saved. I believe God desires that all men be saved, but all men are not saved.
The Lord Jesus Christ
I believe that every knee is going to bow and every tongue is going to confess that Jesus is Lord. I believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. I believe Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies when he took on human flesh. I believe Jesus was born through the miracle of the virgin birth and came to dwell among us on earth. I believe His death on that Cross allows those who believe in Him to be cleansed of sin because of His shedding of blood (Leviticus 17:11, Ephesians 2:8). Whoever accepts Christ in their lives through faith (which is a gift of God lest any man should boast) can have a relationship with God. I believe Jesus rose from the dead, He ascended into heaven, and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. I believe He is coming back to earth to continue His role as Lord.
The Holy Spirit
NO ONE can go to the Father unless the Holy Spirit draws him. I believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit, and that He is a person, and is One with God, just as Jesus is. I believe He interacts with man. I believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit accompanied by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit. I believe the Holy Spirit lives in each believer enabling us to live a godly life (Ezekiel 36:26-27).
I believe all of humanity is born with a sinful nature and that the work of Jesus' death on the Cross was to deliver us from the power of sin. I believe that salvation is available to all who will receive it by faith. I believe that all of salvation comes from God alone. I believe we can't initiate salvation on our own, but we respond to God's invitation.
I believe in the Church. The church is the Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the work Jesus on the Cross. I believe that we must gather together for our own edification and to spread the Gospel to the world.
I believe in the ordinance of water baptism at the age of accountability. I believe water baptism is an outer sign of an inward act of salvation that has taken place, symbolizing the death of the old man and the resurrection to newness of life in Christ Jesus (Matthew 3:16, 28:18-20).
I believe in communion using the bread and wine (juice), as commanded by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper (I Corinthians 11:23-24).
I believe there will be a resurrection of the saved (those who accept Christ) and the lost (those who refuse Christ). The saved will obtain everlasting life with God, and the lost will obtain eternal separation from God with an everlasting punishment (Daniel 12:2, Matthew 25:46).
Gifts of the Spirit
I believe the gifts of the Spirit (I Corinthians 12, 13, 14, Hebrews 2:4) are still for today, and that they will remain until the perfect has come--evil is completely removed. I believe the true gifts of the Spirit, signs and wonders are still evident where the power of God is. If false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, to try and mislead the very elect (Mt 24:24), signs and wonders will follow those who really believe God (Mark 16:17). John said, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you simply will not believe." People today are no different today. Where gifts are concerned, LOVE will always be the motivation for any gift.
